DBA is afaik one of the few companies who sell their rotors and advise they be used the other way

ok so i did some research and it depends on the manufacturer, they can go either way depending on who makes the rotors, mine are opposite of the brembo pics.

look at the cooling vanes..are they directional or straight? directional sweep towards the rear of the car, straight vanes make no difference on how the rotors are put on. the slots in the rotors swipe away debri and give a biting edge

I didn't think the Brembo explanation made any sense. Logic says . . . that the slots should meet the pad at the inner, hub side, and sweep towards the outside as the disk rotates to throw the gas and debris off. BUT WHAT DO I KNOW?

degassing is something street pads havent needed since asbestos brake pads were discontinued. its more about biting than anthing else.

Ya, its the cooling vanes that dictate. You want to create a vacuum effect to pull out the heat.

now why would ceramic pads have asbestos in them

the LS had factory ceramic pads...and even the EBC pads spec'd for the LS (red stuff) are ceramic....

but even that being taken into account for organic pads, the amount of asbestos in the pads is minute compared to 20-30years ago, and correspondingly any major pad manufacturer will tell you that outgassing is not a problem on everything up to i believe semi-tractor brake pads. (though i'd need confirmation on that as im not overly familiar with that field)

Kinda crappy cell phone pic, but the MRR GT1s are off for the winter (have been since mid-December...just now got around to posting this pic).

I tell you now...the Megans do NOT like cold weather...
