Cool SILVERSTAR ULTRA vs. STOCK.......wow

Ok so I finally took some after pictures of my headlights so I could post up the difference. Wow guys the ULTRAs are SO BRIGHT!!!! It's ridiculous!!!! They look SO good at night EVERYTHING is lit up like it's mid-day! hahaha

Let me know what ya think!

BEFORE

Low Beams

High Beams

AFTER

Low Beams WITHOUT Fogs

Low Beams WITH Fogs (Nokya Hyper Yellow 2500k)

High Beams (aka: Road Rage Beams) Let's hope no one wants to get flashed with these suckers! hahaha

i would be careful with the nokya bulbs. i had a few and they look like they were about to burst lol. so i pulled them out and put in oem until i can get my hid kit 3000k fogs and 6000k low with silverstar ultra highs

but forsure big improvements oem bulbs are weak sauce lol

^^^^ these bulbs work wonders, we have them on our es, and there was a big difference we would never think of going back to the regular bulbs, even if they are 20 bucks a piece

the silverstars do make a noticeable difference but dont forget that you're comparing what are most likely ORIGINAL 14+ year old bulbs to brand new ones

They are definitely whiter and appear brighter in your pics. I bought them for my 95 for high beams and fogs and so far after one year they are still good

Yup I replaced the OEM with Silverstars yesterday.. DRASTIC change. It improves visibility remarkably.. but alot of people want it for the 'look'.. it changes that stock 'yellow' hue light beam to the BRIGHT white beam. Updates your lights very much.

I'm sure they last a long time as well.

So the fog lights have a HID Sylv stock replacement that makes a noticeable difference as well?

I agree I like the yellow fog lights. -- What is so bad about it? I think they look modern, different.

I certainly wouldn't want the same 'color' fog lights as headlights.. Whats the purpose in that? The mixture of the two colors actually helps a great deal in foggy conditions.

Those Ultras work for you

I had Ultras in my last ride, but only have the standard Silverstars in the fogs for my LS.

I hate to Jack the thread, but whats the best bulb to buy for my high beams with HID? Ive been leaning to get a white highbeam, but I am scared it'll be less bright as the bulb in it already, as my high beams are crazy bright. Any ideas? The highs appear to be some sort of red sylvania bulb.

do you HONESTLY use your highs often? the bulbs are run at 1/2 wattage all the time in the 99-00 as DRLs

i did what SK did and got some cheap blue "hyper white" bulbs in there.

I'd get some Silverstar ULTRAs for the HBs.

I got mine off eBay for $25. They'd retail at an autoparts store for over $50.
