On my 97 there are levels, and I think 7mm adjustment nuts for left and right, and another for up and down. I'm not too sure about the 1st gen but it should be very similar.

This is in the manual? Who knew?

I will dig into it shortly -- my hands are raw from doing the interior today. Hopefully it isn't as big of a pain as I've seen it be before on other vehicles. (Hopefully pre-defined marked notches) So you don't have to 'guess'. I remember something about Park in front of garage door/wall at X feet away.. and something. (Not from the manual , just something I heard a long time ago). I'm not too fond of the factory lights in there currently, so I think I will grab some HID's , some Sylv's to brighten things up, and then aim those accordingly. Though brights are perfect aim, normal.. not so good.

20 feet away at a blank wall, use tape on the wall with measured Xs.
