Default Squeaky front brakes when cold?

Replaced my front pads and rotors, re-used the shims and applied anti squeal stuff to both the pads and the shims.

However when the rotors/brakes are cold i'll get a really loud squeal from them until they heat up slightly and then it's gone until they get cold again.

I did some searching and can't find anything on it. Any help would be appreciated. The only thing i can think of is that i could replace the shims with new ones and/or re-do the anti-squeal stuff.

Any other hints/tips would be helpful. Thanks

i'd think it'd be normal, no matter what setup you have.

my LS and my corolla do this when their brakes are cold.

i'd say that obviously, they squeak because they're cold, and if the noise goes away once they're warm, no worries.

but that's just me.

They didn't do it before, but they do it now so it isn't normal.

------------

I did do some reading and the majority of brake squeal is due to the pads vibrating. I think i'll just re-do the anti squeal stuff.

My car has always done this. It's a little embarrassing but I have assumed it's normal.

I heard vented rotors could commonly have this problem.

I switched to ceramic pads and no noise no dirt and last a long time. I am using stock after market rotors and no problems the ceramic pads seem to do the trick.
