Default cracked door mirror, best place to source new one?

hey guys, the wifey drives the LS daily to work and a couple days ago she asked me "has the drivers rear view mirror always been cracked?" and im like, NO!! (thinking to myself dont you drive it everyday, shouldnt you know...). anyways its cracked in 4 pieces and i think some kid ran into it or something. where would be the best place to source one of these? i know toyota but you know how much mark up is at dealerships, any help would be appreciated. thanks.

You should be able to buy just the surface of the mirror & not a whole (unpainted) assembly.
I had to do that once on an old Cressida.

In the case of the cressida, it was a simple operation to replace the mirror surface.

I had to replace the passenger side mirror on my 93 LS several years ago. The mirror glass is available at the Lexus dealers who sell online (Irontoad, Park Place, etc.). Unfortunately, the price is almost $200.00 for just the glass itself. I would try the salvage yard route first.

Be careful when buying. The glass for cars with the memory system is different from those without memory.

The glass is very easily removed. There are four clips holding the glass to the mirror assembly. Remove the clip at the bottom first, pull down on the glass, and the other clips release. You can remove the bottom clip by prying with a wide screwdriver between the glass and the bottom of the mirror assembly. Be careful and don't scratch the paint.
