Default 92 to 98 Front end conversion

I bought my wife a 1992 LS400 because for some reason it is quitter the 96 to 98 models, although i like the looks of the 98 year.

I don't know if any one has done this before, but i was wondering if i could fit the hood, R/L front fenders, bumper and lights with a 98 LS400

Thanks For your time,

Hmaid,

I can be done and has been done before. You will need all of what you mentioned plus a few brackets here and there. Not sure exactly what you need total, but many have already done it so its just a matter of getting the parts and spending the money to do it.

its possible but the OEM pieces will have to be modified for size differences AND custom brackets will need to be made for the fenders, hood, and front bumper to make it all line up right.

its all money.

u coulda bought a 95-97 model and just bolted the 98-00 parts on.

off the top of my head you will need:
-front fenders
-front bumper
-hood
-headlights
-grill
-grill surround
-foglights
-cornerlights
-chrome trim pieces for bumper

and maybe a few more bits.

do it.

98-00 is my favorite front, and if you do it all properly, it has the potential to look hawt.

anyone have any pics of this conversion done? i imagine it can't be any different than the 240 guys putting S14 fronts on S13's and stuff like that.

but i could be wrong, like i usually am.

you have a 97, so i don't think it would be that hard. just buy everything and bolt it all on, like previously stated.

its been done you guys, just search on it.

personally im not a fan, the 2LS is physically MUCH larger than the 1LS, so every conversion ive ever seen looks out of proportion, with the car seeming more noseheavy than it should.

those with 95-97 cars CAN do the bolt on conversion (albeit at a minimum of 4-6thousand BEFORE paint) but then theres a cost-benefit issue, you're normally better off selling your 95-97 and just buying a 98-00.
