Default do you know where the parking brake wire is?

I am trying to locate the parking brake wire, and maybe even the color of the wire as well. I have been searching Google, here, and even lexusownersclub to no avail.

thanks!

haha I have no clue... I need to "hack" into this wire to make the car think the e-brake is engaged..... but I have not a clue where this wire is. You might be correct, but I would have no way of knowing! haha

thanks for your quick response

hmm... ok...

The particular dvd player I got can't just be grounded to play dvds while on the move... before you play the video, you need to do what is called "the parking brake squence (engage brake, dis" ", engage, dis" "). I thought I would hook it up to my e-brake wire, and only push the e-brake in one click, to where the wire would think its engaged, but the brakes are not actually engaged.

Is this the wrong way to go about this?

what if you just got a momentary push button, or an on/off button? connect one side of the button to the dvd player and the other to a ground or what ever signal you need...

i think your best shot is the SPST switch. it will engage disengage engage disengage. since your able to flip it multiply times. usually all you would have to do is ground that particular wire. my friend has a 2007 model clarion. i have the pioneer avh-p5700dvd. can you clarify what kind of deck you might have.

yeah man its a Jensen vm9311ts (hey, it was cheap!! )

Do you guys know where the ebrake wire is, or has pretty much everyone just grounded it out?? I ask now more out of curiosity than anything, because I looked for so long online at and the actual assembly. Its annoying the crap out of me!! Haha

I am going to run to the nearest radioshack/pepboys tomorrow to get at that switch!

okay here it goes i did some research on the particular dvd deck you have. doing the switch way should work.
http://forum.ecoustics.com/bbs/messages/4/278797.html
second link for more info
http://www.fixya.com/support/t126992...witch_in_order
if you go to that link it literally shows you how to disable it to the max lol. happy working on it.
if you do the full bypass you might be dead meat if a cop sees. thats why i recommend the switch. you can turn it off and on :]
