Default Just purchased '99 LS400 - Pics inside!

Well I went from 92 SC300 to 96 740iL to 99 LS 400 with 109k today. We got the BMW in June and it was great until this winter when the steering lock wouldn't disengage easily, the gas tank started leaking, and found out there were $1200 of missing parts for the heating system to work...so my dad went and traded the 740 in for this. We got it for $11.5 after the trade, not sure what he actually worked out as the price. I know we probably paid a premium, but it was checked over at the Lexus dealer, and my dad wanted to get in and get out, this is the second car he's bought in the last 6 months so he wanted to go for reliability reliability reliability.

We purchased it from Lexus of Nashville prewoned, it was a two owner car, last owner bought it Certified Preowned from Lexus of Nashville in '03 and traded it back last month.

Its pretty clean all around, seats look good, they repained the front bumper, tires are good, the only problem was the radio wouldn't tune stations right so I went back and they ordered me a new radio without any hesitation.

I'm going to put 20% tint all around, put in my XM radio, and maybe some subs later, but probably not the ones I have now. I don't think I need the two 12's anymore, I just want a nice small little 10" JL or maybe I'll look into a drop-in replacement for the one in the back.

Here's some pics.

Nice, that's a clean LS. I've heard a lot about problems with the 7 and BMWs, im general. I think Toyota/Lexus builds a much better car.

Yea it was kind of unfortunate I had to get rid of the 740 so soon, I really did like the combination of power along with handling it had. When I got the 740 I did my research and knew it needed the front end suspension rebuilt, so I did that myself and it was much better. The heat issue was just bad luck, who would think to check to see if the heater control valve was missing, and the gas tank started leaking from a previous jbweld patch, probably cracked from the cold weather, but once again, just kinda bad luck. But I'm glad to be back in a Lexus again. Wish I could have found a GS400 or 430, but there are NONE in my area, tons of 300's. There was one GS400, but it was at a crummy side of the road dealership and I'm done dealing with anything that I might have to put money into after I purchase it.

the UCF20 - UCF21 are USELESS unless you VIP them.

VIP'ing a UCF20 UCF21 is like squeezing out the all the jdm pimp juice and multiplying it by 100.

otherwise they are just boring, old man cars.
