Default How easily does the ls resist rust?

Just wondering because the city I live in is starting to use alot of that chloride stuff on the streets. Its some good stuff, clears the streets very well, but when it dries on the paintjob it leaves behind a nasty white salty finish.

My car's held up great... and it's been a Michigan car since 1990. I do have a little rotting inside the wheel wells, and a very little speck of surface rust on the fender, but otherwise there's nothing to worry about.

Just rinse off the car, especially the underside, every day if you want to be certain to avoid any rust. After the winter season is over, get your car rust-proofed if you want a worry free winter next year.

Every day is a bit excessive, not to mention it's so cold here through most of winter, that rinsing with anything less than boiling water will just make the water freeze onto the bottom of the car in sheets and make pretty icicles.

Best bet is to give the car a nice waxjob, and ride through the winter without worries. Wash it every once in a while if you're ****-retetive. I'm just going to end up riding from now until about March with only one or two washes.
