just a more in dept write up from a post i posted in a thread.

its just like replacing the head light bulb, but instead of removing only the bulb, u remove the whole headlight assembly and replace with the jdm one. i was fortunate enough that my jdm set came with bulbs and wiring (makes install a lot easier). so here it is:

****MAKE SURE U HAVE YOUR NEG FROM BATTERY OFF (just incase...especially if ur going to splice wires)*****

****this will only work if ur jdm headlight sets came with bulbs and wires, if they didnt, installation is the same, but wiring will be different****

**ummmm not responsible for any damages? and umm if ur hurt im not responsible for that too....**

1. take corners off first (held by small screw and "pop-in/out" lock thing)
-after small screw is taken off, pull corner outwards (takes some strength because of the lock style)



2. take off head light assembly
-should be 3 bolts and one nut





if u have 90-92 (i think) go to step 3, if not go to step 4:

3. splice the jdm headlight (main) wire into the usdm one. they r color coded so just connect red to red, red/green to red/green, red/black to red/black, ect....



4. reverse installation (headlights first, then corners) just make sure to pop in the corners tight. it will make a pop/click sound.

and ka-blammo u r finished. turn on head light and adjust if necessary. if u need to adjust from left to right u have to remove the inner most of those rubber thingys on the radiator support. adjusting up and down, the adjustment screw is exposed so u will see it.

For those of you who are not as fortunate as ERRRR was to have the bulbs and wiring come with the lights (gonna be a majority of us), here is a guide for wiring. This is for the first gen LS. You will have to buy a wiring harness,, the one mentioned in the thread can be bought at Autozone for under $10. I followed this guide when I installed my JDM headlights, it works!! Thanks goes to Jurassic and Absolut for the pics!!

No problem,,,, when I did mine, I had to find out the hard way. The above illustration without the JDM harnes is what finally saved me.
