hey guys...wanna get your opinions.

i never really gave much of a crap about washing my car at a car wash during the winter....that is until i got my LS 400.

i've been washing it myself with care since i got it this summer, but with the winter months approaching fast here in the northeast, i'm wondering if it's bad to get it washed at an automatic car wash? i know it's ok at a brushless place, but what about where they use brushes/cloths??? is it bad for the cars finish???

it def. put swirls in the paint and their brushes are aggressive so they might also scratch the rims and the auto ones have the belt that moves the wheels...well what happens if the rim hits the conveyor belt?

Will most definately put swirls and scratches in your paint. In the winter months, I normally just use one of the do it yourself places with the blast guns. Doesn't do as thorough a job as a hand washing would do, but it does get the dirt off the car.

yeah, we have the automatic "touchless" places with the spray guns.....they don't do that great of a job, but it's better than not washing the car at all during the winter.....

i kinda figured those brush/cloth places weren't any good.....it's amazing how many people use those places without knowing the damage that's being done to their cars finish.....
