Default Whats my car worth - 1996 LS400 w/ 49k miles

I recently bought a house, so I may need to get a truck. If I do, I would need to sell the Lexus. Any ideas what I should ask for it? Its a 1996 LS400 with 49k miles. The car is the two tone pearl white with tan interior. It has new 18" LS430 rims and tires. The car is in mint shape inside and out.

lol, possible, highly improbable, but possible.

id put ur stockers back on and try to sell it stock, then sell the wheels (pm me )

hmm, ur norcal or socal?
if soCal you could prolly fetch maybe 8800-9500 but anything more than that would be pretty lucky. the problem isnt that your car isnt bad, its that its pretty much 98+money.

Wow, Cali is harsh. Around here, the car would get around $11k+. And even I would be ready to pay $10k for it if I had the money.

Here in Indianapolis your car could easily sell for $11.5 maybe even $12k. Dealers would probably be asking $13k+ due to low miles and overall condition.

I woould keep the price about 11 and back pedal to 10-10500.

You need to put the stock wheels on because the side of the marketplace that has the money to pay the better price want clean stock.
Not everyone appreciates your after market wheels the way you do.

Kelley Blue Book and go from there. Everyone is going to have an opinion on what your car is worth. That's why you refer to KBB for an acurate price and you can always let the buyer know they are getting a discount from the price of KBB.

A friend of mine bought the same year with 60K back in '01 for 13k (brand new condition). We are in shock with the auctioneer screamed, SOLD.

But I'd think its worth 9-10K, even with low miles, due to age.
