Default First gen questions

Just need to see what yall think on this one. My first gen (92LS) is having a problem while braking. In town,, around town,, no problem,, works fine. Put the old girl on the highway for a 500 mile road trip(roundtrip) and on the open highway when I hit the brakes to slow for an exit ramp, etc,, getting vibration thru the pedal and steering wheel (feels bad at times). I know that the first gen brakes were probably the most god awful things that Lexus did to this car but I cant upgrade to a BBK until I get my new rims in the spring which will allow the clearance. I have the Panther 404C's (Lowenhart LDR replicas), so if anyone knows if these rims are BBK or later model LS caliper friendly, please let me know. Anyway, the vibration feels horrible trying to slow from highway speed and it comes thru the pedal and steering wheel. I have already replaced all the ball joints, front uper control arms are brand spanking new, Bushings are Daizens'(installed 1 year ago), front and rear sway bar bushings installed last week (Daizens'), front calipers are only a few months old(all have been bled and work as they are suppose to, and rotors are only a few months old as well(fronts only,, rears are over 1 year old). I am leaning more toward warped rotors, but not sure. Could the hub and bearings going bad cause this horrible vibration as well? I am stumped,, please help.

1 last question,,,anyone tell me the size of the vacuum hoses under the hood. I need to update/change just about all that I can reach b/c I suspect they are very old.

Would you describe the vibration as a pulsation?

Yes,, feels like a really deep pulsation. Could it also be the strut bars?? This is also on my list of things to change. I know I need the ones in the rear,,, possibly the front as well.

Not the strut bars. I would say the rotors you have are warped again.
Did the vibration disappear when you installed the new front rotors?
I would cut them to make sure they are true.
All it takes is one good hard stop to heat up the rotors and then a splash of cold water from a puddle and they are warped all on the same day you get them.

I was leaning in this direction, again, however I just didnt want to have to go there again. I thought it might be the rotors again. Just wanted a few more opinions. I will be ordering some Bradi cross drilled/slotted from 88rotors and get rid of this problem for good. Back to the drawing board,,again.

Before you do that, get them checked.

If it isn't the problem then it's just a big pain, if it is you may be able to fix that without new rotors. Your money tho...

i was gonna upgrade my rotors anyway,, this just pushes things along sooner. I know what you are saying though. I may be able to have them turned for right now.
