Default 93 Ls400, 160xxx, tranny solenoid?

is there such a thing on the 1st gens? some kid at my school with a history of workin on cars told me my shifting hesitation could be caused by the solenoid, where and how to change it?

if a solenoid pops normally the car wont shift into that gear at all.

when i got my LS the wiring harness to one of the solenoids was completely shot and i had it and the solenoid replaced together (its a common 98-00 problem) since i dont/wont do transmission work

to give u an idea my car didnt shift into overdrive, so i drove it 250+ miles in 4th

no, what i was saying is that if the solenoid of the harness is gone it will igve u a LOT worse than just hesitation.

mine also threw CEL's at me like no tomorrow but since your car is OBDI idk how it would work on yours...

I have the same issue on my 95, CEL comes on after my ECT blinks. Car shifts normal to me though, but eventually I want to get it corrected.
Anyone know where the solenoids are located?

your friend is an idiot. what does he think the trans will do if there's barely any fluid in it? tell him to fill it properly, and pray it isn't completely burned up.
