Question Nakamichi to replace pioneer head question

my '93 stock pioneer is dead and I bought a '93 nakamichi head unit off ebay. Tried to install it yesterday but I found the back of both unit are different. So will I be able to replace the pioneer with nakamichi or I need extra harness to do it. Thank you in advance for any response you guys may have.

I'm no expert on this subject! But what I understand,a nackamichi out of a 1990,91 have the same plugs on the back as your 93 pioneer. It should be a simple plug and play. I think you are out of luck with your 93 Nakamichi you bought on ebay. Do a search on lexusownersclub.com on this subject. They have a thread about this! Good luck

Default I replaced my 93 Pioneer with a NAK from an earlier LS ....

Plug-and-Play and sounds better than the original, to boot.

Everything on it worked perfectly, including lighting and the cassette deck.

I got it for $200 from this guy:

egusman@woh.rr.com

Give him a shout

90-92 nakamichi has the same plugs as 90-94 pioneer. 93-94 nakamichi's have different plugs.

the radio you got wont work.

you need a 90-92 nakamichi. I switched and love the deeper bass, stronger mids and clearer treb

haha grand

PD, I know 2LS are so much better, you dont have to remind us everyday.

Back to the Nak, you can get one on ebay for about 50-75 shipped. check carpart.com too. i got mine for 60 shipped.

i dont try to dog the 1LS, im stating that the 2LS radio is better than the 1LS (its kinda obvious) in teh same way that the 3LS(430) esp. with ML is better than the 2LS.
