Default Heated seat conversion for 98

I'm looking at buying a 98 LS400 with no heated seats, anyone tried converting the seats to heated ones?

Just buy an aftermarket heated seat kit and add it under the leather . Trying to go oem is going to be way 2 expensive since you need switches and a new wood console.

I'd suggest looking for an LS with heated seats -- most of the 98-00 LS400's I've seen have them -- maybe look further north where it's colder. It's way cheaper to buy an LS equipted like you want rather than trying to add OEM options later. Options are almost free on a 9 year old car.

Factor about $150/seat for the hardware, plus installation (it is DIY-able).
