Default Air Suspension Swicth

95 LS 174,000
In several threads it says that the AIR SUSPENSION SWITCH is in the trunk, located in, or near the tool box. I have looked and looked for this switch for hours trying to find it with no luck. Called the Lexus dealer and asked where the asked where the switch was. The service dept. said the LS 90-94 has a swicth in the truck near the tool box. But the 95 and up LS does not have a switch. The Air Suspension will adjust automatically.

The advice given in some of the threads were to turn off the Air Suspension when ever jacking up the car. Again 95 LS and up (no Swicth).

However:

The ownwers manual says on Page 140 " NOTICE" "For vehicles equipped with the height control switch, be sure to turn the IGNITION swicth off before jacking. If this is not done, the vehicle height adjusment function will operate, which may cause body damage".

Any comments will be appreciated. Thanks

I was the one who wrote the thread about finding the air suspension not long ago. Its posible for my LS to go down all the way to ground, looking like a lowrider after the care was jacked up. Then it slowly when up after I hit the botton. The dealer said the 95 LS and up does not have a air suspension switch. if you find out otherwise let me know.

Any moderators have any input on this.

95-00 DID have A/S but it was a VERY rare option. the only way to know u have it is by A-looking at the susp. upright and B-seeing the 3position swithc on the gear shift console ABOVE the ECT-i switch.

i think the 98 onwards models have the 3 position, but mine which is a 95 has a two position normal and high.

But same here, i can't seem to find the trunk switch either.

Mine is a 97 and I only have a 2 way switch, norm and high. I would rather Low and Normal, lol!

You should but it may take a few minutes. The best way to know is have the door open and one foot on the ground and you will feel the car raise. Should raise about 2-3 inches.
