Service Engine light comes on then goes off later? electrical?
I have a 91 LS400. The Service Engine and TRaction control light comes on together, then goes off together. It could happen during the same trip or within days. I recently replaced the plugs, wires, distrubutors, pcv valve, PS valve, recharged AC, etc. Enigne and traction lights were on before hand. Reset the codes and it runs a whole lot better. However, after driving for two days the lights came back on. Got back in the car today and "magically" the lights went off. Some one suggested changing the fuel filter but does this sound more like an electrical problem?

In a lot of cars a temporary lean/rich air/fuel condition can cause a CEL, and later it will go off. I have experienced this issue many times going down in altitude from Mexico City to the Texas border.

Change (or clean if K&N) your air filter.
I ihave the same issue every 8 month or thereabouts. Clean my K&N and I'm good for another 8 month.
Also, I would put it on a computer and see what is actually causing this.
It may be any number of things including your O2 sensors.
