Default Strong smell of gasoline while idling.. running rich?

Hey guys,

I've noticed recently that when idling, there is a pretty strong smell of gasoline. Since I have remote start, I usually start my car a minute or two before I intend on driving it, and when I walk outside... I can smell the gas. Is this relatively normal, or is my engine running rich?

I'm also getting poor gas mileage and sub-optimal power, but that could be due to a lot of other things also.

fuel issue it sounds like, or maybe a dead spark plug?

I smell the gas in mine all the time, as did I with the Lincoln. I think it's normal. As for power, how does it act? Just sluggish?

Well i do have the modded intake, could that be an issue? If it's rich I need to know because gas prices are outrageous.

Well it only happens at startup after it sits for a long time. If I were to come home from work or school and turn it off. Come back out 30 minutes later and let it run, I wouldn't smell it. I think it may be just extra fuel that wasnt used before I turned it off.
