its a 96 ls 400 it was workin fine until i plug in the car charger but there were no blown fuses

Update on this post. did the fuse fix the problem. My buddy is about to buy a 95 ls but is not sure because the climate control is out. Not Heat or A/c


I found this info on another post....

" the "FR CIG" fuse DOES also power the Front Cigarette Lighter along with the entire Climate Control System. Same area, so they did that. The Lighter is FU and shorts out, but I am getting about 40 miles per fuse."

i had that same problem with my ls400. my cousin plug somethin into the cigarette lighter. it was lose and short circuited the fuse inside. so i had to replace it a couple of times. than it work all over again. check the fuse box inside tha car usually thats the one that blows.

that is crazy. what was toyota thinking when they did that. It does not make any sense to set up the entire climate control system with the cigarette lighter.
