Spring rates?

Spring rates?
After reading countless posts about Eibach & H&R springs, I still have not been able to determine what the spring rates on them are. Would anyone happen to know? People keep saying that they are about 10% stiffer, but that is hard to measure.
I am replacing the shocks on my 90 LS400. I figure it may be worth while to look into some KYB GR-2 shocks and Eibach/ H&R lowering springs. Don't want to lower the car agressively, just something that would improve the car's response WITHOUT sacraficing comfort.
Anyone with this setup who thought it was too stiff?

I am running this setup (H&R's with the KYB's) and the ride is stiffer than stock, yet the car is very responsive. It really is not too far off but you will notice a difference in the ride, especially if you drive around the city alot. It ios nothing unbearable. I live in MD and in the city we have some really bad roads, and this is where I really notice the ride comfort. Just does not have that smooth silk-like quality like it was new. On the highway, man the ride is an absolute dream. Drop is not bad at all. H&R's and Eibach Prokit drop the car 1" in height. Eibach regular springs drop the car even lower, so it really depends on the look and ride quality and aggressiveness you are trying to achieve. I would also suggest changing out the bushings as well while you are taking on this project. I have the Daizens and that helped to improve the responsiveness as well. Here is a pic of mine now. H&R's with the KYB-GR2's. Mine is a '92.

I cannot answer your spring rate question 100% as H&R says spring rate is increased 10-15% over stock. Just to concur with trukn1, when I added H&R's to my 95 I noticed a firmer ride - nothing uncomfortable. At that time I had stock struts and 18" wheels. I imagine if you are running OEM rims and tires your ride will be even smoother, etc. The main thing I noticed was it was more responsive after the drop of 1".
