Default LS430 Calipers , why no fit ??

I know that LS430 calipers won't fit on earlier LS400's , but why don't they fit ?
Is it because the calipers foul on the steering arm end ball joint ?
My brother in NZ had some 4 pots in the boot when he bought his 93 LS400, the bolt holes line up OK , but the caliper fouls the enof the steering arm , I know that 95 to 2000 model 4 pots go straight on so maybe these are LS430 calipers ?
Can anyone help ...Please !!

The bolts on the LS43 calipers are a top of it, whereas the LS4 mount by bolts on the side.

yea, the bracketry for the LS430 calipers is COMPLETELY different, iirc NONE or maybe ONE of the bolts line up.
