Default Clear Side Markers for a 1999 LS 400

I have searched the Club Lexus Forums to no avail for a set of clear side markers for a 1999 LS 400.

Can anyone here help direct me to a website or parts shop that sells such clear markers? I would prefer a US based company due to shipping time and cost.

I have seen clear markers for the GS and SC models, but none as of yet for the LS model.

Thank you in advance for your help.

I am not sure if this is possible. Does anyone know if it is possible to clear out the side markers as suggested by anotherLS?

I thought that the side markers were orange plastic and could not be cleared out. I have seen fog lights cleared out (where the yellow glass is broken) at www.lexls.com, but not the side markers.

I cleared mine out a few month ago. All you have to do it get a good drill with a long bit and drill a ton of small holes in the orange piece of plastic on the inside of the lens.
Becareful not to drill too deep, or damage the hole that the bulb screws into.
Once the orange plastic piece is full of small holes get a pair of long nose pliers and break the orange piece apart. Then shake all the bits and pieces out of the light. Then take a vacuum cleaner and suck all the small plastic pieces out. Then you'll have a pair of clear corners.

I bought chrome colored amber bulbs so they will blink orange but look clear when they are off. -- Good luck.. It took my about 1 1/2 to do both. Great mod!!

Did the same thing CO-LS400 did but with a soldering pen to make smooth edges that would not scratch the inside of my brand new lenses.

i used a saw and epoxy for the turn signal.

Hann from Luxury Mods is very helpful. He can get you the side corner light and more.

Didn't even think of using a soldering pen
That would be alot cleaner and you wouldn't scratch the inside of the housing. I would imagine that you would still have to crack it to get it thru the hole.

I would try that instead of drilling and breaking it up like I did.

In my opinion the trick is to take your time get that little orange peice out.
Its made of really hard/thick plastic.
Good Luck

Use the pen to make a Y in the end of the lens then cut a O around the edge to make the 3 pieces fall out. then spilt the rest of the cylinder into pieces and snap the rest with pliers to complete the job . Also use the end of the pen to heat the screw to make it release the lens cleanly.
Use a non heat transferring material around the edge of the turn signal plug.

Thank you for your input thus far.

I apologize for being unclear. I have attached a picture showing the side marker that I intended.

I could have sworn that I checked, but luxury mods has the clear lights.

Ahh haaa.. I see.. I was referring to the "Side blinker" touching the head light.

You can buy those at Luxury mods.. I bought mine there.
Put LEDS in them it looks really nice. The Drivers side is a real pain to remove. The screws are behind the windshield wiper tank. If you take the first bolt off for the bumper and peel it back you can access the screws a little easy. You'll see what I mean when you pull back all that black plastic in the wheel wells.

You can find them on ebay cheap ,remember the GS RX and IS have the same light in clear also which sometimes makes them cheaper for the same part.
