Camber or Fender Rolling? Help.
Hello All,
I am relatively new to these boards, but I have owned a 1993 Lexus LS400 for a few months now. I decided to get some new wheels for the car to ride on. Speed Star Wheel D5R's from TireRack in 19x9 (F) and 19x9.5 (R) running on 245/40/19 Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires.
I face a problem though, not that severe, but a problem nonetheless.
My front wheels and tires line up directly with the fender. The tire hits the fender if I go over a large bump.
Are there any ways to give negative camber to the front wheels? Or is rolling my front fenders the only thing I can do to prevent the tire from hitting the fender?
Sincerely,
Alexander JW De Santis

post a pic of the front wheel, if u bought them from tirerack they should fit perfectly, unless they told you in advance that you would require fender mods.
rolling/shaving is the best solution since camber will kill your tires.
speaking of tires, your running a 17" tire on a 19" wheel how?
and i think ur running the wrong aspect ratio, you should be running 245/35/19 on a first gen iirc.

Ooops, 245/40/19***
They dont come in 245/35/19...This is the only tire TireRack would permit themselves to sell me with the proper load rating.
Does rolling the fender result in loss of the fender lining?

get a smaller tire. i'm running 18x9's with 225/40R18 and they're fine. it's just that a 245 on a 9 inch wide wheel is a really fat tire. get a smaller one with a stretch and it should be alright.
