Default bought myself a birthday present...2nd generation LS400

well here she is guys I traded in my 98 GS400 and van I had and got a hold of a pretty nice LS400.

It is dark blue with grey/blue interior. IT drives incredibly smooth, you can tell this car was babied. Has a sticker on it for Illinois Senate or something like that, so sounds like someone pretty vip owned the car before, or some kind of older gent.

anway again here I am posting pics of another lexus, and like my GS400 it is dirty, so stay tunded for better pics. I think I am going to be holding onto this pup for a while.

first mods I am going to do are wheels ill stick aftermarket on later in the summer, for now I want the stock wheels that come with the LS400 (I do not like the ones that are on it now, so if anyone knows who is selling some lemme know!!!), and tint, I also have a 10" Boston acoustics competition sub I will probably stick somewhere for a tiny more umph in the bass area. shouldnt cost too much to hook up. otherwise I am very happy with the car.

thanks for looking guys, also any comments or suggestions on mods or what wheels I should go with just let me know!!!!

Thanks guys

Congrats That is the exact car I was looking for. I am on the west coast though, so finding the perfect car can be hard.
I had a 92 loaded with Heated Seats, Nakamichi, and Air Susp. I guess I still have it, Im still looking at the title, just haven't seen it since the 22nd.
I now have a 95 blk/blk. I like it alot, even if I got Ripped on a Stripper.

Welcome to CL. Nice, clean LS. Search for wheels and you will find tons of examples (wish I did first B4 I bought). It will save you time and money bro.

Nice! I've only seen that color once in my lifetime and it does look very good. And you managed to pick up a Nak! Those are hard to come by man, great find.

Luthor, enough with the "Ripped by the stripper." You don't make sense.

hey thanks guys, man I have to admit while I loved the GS the LS400 just makes you feel different everytime you start it. I noticed a tiny vibration when I brake but that is all so far (oh and it needs new wipers lol), this thing really runs like a champ. Cant wait for the weather to start getting warmer so i can start tending to the car.

But thanks again for the comments. So really the blue is an uncommon color for the LS?? yea I didnt notice that the interior was also shades of blue until I took the pictures, they look grey kind of, to the naked eye.

LOL RIPPED BY THE STRIPPER. BTW that ls400 with LS430 wheels looks damn good, I would go after something like that. I am not a big fan of the wheels on the car now, I dont think they go with the car well, just want a quick fix. So like I said anyone have 16" 98+ ls400 or LS430 wheels they want to sell let me know, or any other 16" lexus wheels they think I would be interested.

I would sell you mine, but I'm keeping mine as winter wheels. I wont drive my chrome ones iin the salt. Check ebay for some. I wouldnt go for any chrome wheels off ebay, they are all re-chromes.

I went to a local salvage yard and they had some off of a 01 LS430, but I didnt really think the car would gain enough for $400

yea thats what I wanted to pay, but they werent the wheels I wanted.

If they were the polished or 5 spoke LS wheels than I would have gotten them, or a different LS430 wheel.

They were like these but not chrome, they were just silver

yeah they looked funny, those in the pic look alot better, the ones they had were not chrome, they were silver. To me they kind of resembled hubcaps. and thought mine were actually better for the car since they were chrome. SO to me not enough of an improvement for those particular wheels for me to shell out $400.

I am trying to get my ebay fixed, they advised me that they are still having issues with the site.
