Default Multiple Questions about '99 LS

I live in the MD/DC/Va area, and have recently come across an LS400 for 10k with 155K on the clock. It has all service records since new, and from the carfax i can see that it has been taken for matienance checks every 5k miles since new. Its Alpine Silver w black interior.

Would i be stupid to pass this deal up? (I basically just need some reassurance here guys)

Ive done alittle research and know that the main thing i should be concerned about is the timing belt being changed, which the carfax sheet says it has.
Is ther anything else i should worry about?

Also I have a friend who ALWAYS talks about his Charger R/T and how fast it is. He basically bashes Toyota, and oh how i would love to make him eat his words. What are my chances stock, versus my chances with some slight mods, (torque converter, cold air intake, etc).

Not a bad price for a really great car. What options are on this car ? I have a fully-loaded '99 LS400, and it rides like new with 116K miles on the odo. If all service history is up to date, then you don't have much to worry about, IMO. If it meets what you are looking for, I'd say go for it... Its a damn nice car that will last you a very long time....

A fully loaded '98 with 180k miles sold for $10.2K on eBay a few weeks ago. So yes, I would say your '99 is a good deal given it's in good shape and a clean history.

Buy IT especially if it has been serviced like you state Mileage is a little high for the year but not bad. Call any Lexus dealer and ask them to send you service records they will do it Just to be safe. I have seen many false Carfax and they usually dont have service records Carfax just lists registrations, Emmissions, water dammage ect.

I also have a 99 LS400, and once raced a Charger R/T on the highway. He does have more power, but I kept right up with him the entire time. He might have pulled on me very slightly at one point, but it was barely noticeable if he did.
