Default Heater!!!

Well I have a bit of a problem. I have no heat!! A/C is cold and strong, but no heat. I was thinking it could be in the cable somewhere, because under the hood when u go from heat to cold it pulls the lever down but when u go back to heat it doesn't pull it back up?? Does anyone know the the cabling of the heating system? I could be way off so suggestions are very much welcome.

Thank You.

Thanks. Yeah I just looked the diagrams up on the climate control. Apparantly the cables are ran through 5 motors and all of this is connected to a computer which regulates everything. Man this car is becoming a burden quick .

First thing I had to change on my 94 LS was a Heater Control Valve.

Have you checked it?

Turns out it was the heater control valve and a new cable. Anyone got hook ups on them?

You can actually bypass the valve (at least on the SC). Thats what I did on mine... switched the two hoses, and now everythign is back to normal. (you should switch them back in the summer.)

Here is more info... it wouldnt hurt to give it a shot... took me 2minutes:

So, remove the hose going to the valve and put the other hose on there is all it's basically saying right. Here is the thing, before I got the car I had it inspected. My mechanic checked off the heat was working, it wasn't. Then once I bought it, I had the maintenance all done and they called me that the heater valve was leaking and it needed to be changed. This was 2 months ago before I realize what it was. Well, I eventually find out I have no heat and figured I tough it out through the winter. Well after 3 days of 8 degree weather and scrapping the window from the inside I gave in. I took it to a mechanic shop in Columbia, 2 hours away from home and my mechanic, they tell me that my radio was bending a part of my valve and it needs to be replaced. I tell them to order the part when it dawned on me that my mechanic ALL READY RELPLACED IT!!!! So by any means my mechanic is going to replace it. Man I'm sick of being cold.
