Hmm..I dunno...somethin about the corner light look + the new retro just doesn't sit well with me...

I definitely don't like the sound of cutting **** behind the light assemblies....

Very inventive tho...keep @ it, Lexkost...hope it turns out perfect!

How are you getting the rubber pieces fabricated? I'm really interested in this mod for my first gen. I really want the light output, I'll sacrifice some looks for it. Where and how much did you get the assemblies for? I wish I lived in SoCal, I'd drive my car over to your place and get it done ASAP Also, what type of lights does the jetta use? E.g. what type of HID kit would I buy?

Sorry if this sounds retarded to some but...

What year Jetta is that light from. A good body shop can fabricate something to make that light fit good.

The later Jetta's that I believe Mike is using, these have a pretty nice output and beam pattern stock. Of course if he fit 's the LS430 projectors in there, it would really kick butt. Those are wide and throw really nicely. The IS300 and 350 do well themselves. (These may be a bit more economical to install.)

Went looking, these are from the 99-04, These are after-market black housing variants at $199

Mike, those headlights you posted don't look like what LexKost had on his car. Lexkost, did you add projectors into a stock Jetta housing?

Mike said Jetta and these were what came up in a quick search. I don't recognize that configuration but I'm not familiar with VW headlights. Just clear the sides and it will blend nicely.

One of the rags, VIP STYLE me thinks...the owner did a Majesta front end conversion. Looked like a blend of UZS 151 /JZS 155 or JZS 171 to his UCF2X.

They are Jetta aftermarket lights.

so after all it is do-able, but it looks like persian451 maybe selling his car so I don't have a first gen LS to work with now...so back to work on my 2genLS.
I will keep you guys posted.
ok, so these are Mk4 jetta headlights? Excellent. I will pick up where Lexkost left off years ago and keep you guys posted. Off to flea-bay!

ok, this is the style I got:

So I'm going to do the side signal delete as part of the install.
