Just got my 99, coilover, suspension questions...
Hi everyone,
I just picked up a black 99 LS400 w/ 118k on it. It's got Tom's Advox coilover in the back and Blisten and tanabe spring up front. The car drives great!! The stance is great but it's too low for my taste. I'm thinking about putting the Advox back into the front to allow me to adjust the ride height higher so I can clear my drive way and dips on the street. Does anyone have any experience with how stiff the ride is? Can it be adjusted to be comfortable? Can the Advox be adjusted to factory ride height? How high can it get?
My other option is to put the stock spring back into the car and get some blistein for the rear. Does anyone have this type of setup that can share what their experience is like? Please advice if you have other options.
thanks,
G.

No one wants to talk to me?? Here's another question, does anyone have any experience with Tom's Advox coilover? Can it be adjusted for damping like the Tein? I called Carson Toyota and they told me that the coilover will be softer the higher it is setup and harder the lower it is, is that true?

I bought the car with that setup last night. The previous owner said the Advox is too stiff up front and that's why he had it like that. I'm going to put in the Advox for the front tomorrow and raise the whole car. It's too low and it's scraping on most driveway and dips. It's also have Wald bodykit on so the front spoiler is getting a good beating.
When I called to Carson the guy I talked to is probably new since he keeps putting me on hold and ask the guy next to him. Does anyone know if the Advox can be adjusted for stiffness like the Tein's?
thanks!!

My buddy sold that car for a really good price. He's picking up a LS430 for cheap so he can't complain.
