Engine shuts off when foot is removed from accelerator
No check engine light. The funny thing is, this started as an intermittent problem. Is cleaning thorttle body a hard job?

Has the car been sitting for some time? This had happend to me. If I were you, I would take out the ECU fuse, or pull the battery cable off for 20mins to reset the ECU.

no, if the battery was dead and u replaced u prolly left it disconnected for ~5mins, which is long enough to reset the ECU.
