Well, the 98+ is supposed to have more slots then the 95+, however, if you would submit measurements of yours, I’ll be glad to measure mine and take pics of the mounting location.

But off my head, I think the 98+ is a bit longer.

okay, i got the measurements now.

basically the grills are identical in over height and width @ 33" wide by 8" high (approx)

the onlly discernable difference is the UCF20 grill has 7 slots and the newer UCF21 has 8. also, visually, the 98-00 seems a bit more straight up, as in not slanted back a tad like the UCF20, but thats a subjective judgement and cant be confirmed w/o taking the grilles off the cars.

It would be nice to see a photoshop of the UCF21 grill on a UCF20 to see what a difference it would make.

Thanks for all the info guys. I wanted to know because I was looking at a 98-00 chrome grille to replace my 97 grille.

But just by looking at images grand_ls posted, they are different and will probably not fit. Looking at the bottom corners of the 98-00 grille, it has a curve and the bumper follows the lines. The 98-97 has a sharper edge and the bumper cuts straight across.

I really want a chrome grille but I'm not willing to spend $500 for a JDM piece. Wonder how those chrome spray paints work........

quick warning to members. if u see a VERY CHEAP chrome grill for a 98-00 LS400, be aware that the buyer even states on his auction that its an OEM Plastic Grill. basically he painted it w/chrome spraypaint.

Has anyone attempted to put a 98 front end on a 95-97?

I got the chrome stick on strips on Ebay from the same people those pictures above were taken from. It looks really good for what it is ($30), and I have had comments from people about it already. I just put them on a couple days ago. Would it be nice to special order a Strut grill? Absolutely, but this dressed it up quite nicely for less than $35. I would take a pic, but the car isn't here right now.
