This only happens to me if I give it little power and only happens between 2000 and 3000, but if I give it floor it, it sounds straight up mean. Do you have the stock exhaust on it? I figure that would be the cause of the muffled sound.

I currently have 5zigen Mega GT Axle back but have yet to do my Y piping or take out the extra mufflers. So I figured its cuz of low rpm's, it's nothing big to me, was just curious if theres a way around it. with gas prices nowadays i dont think imma be full throttle as much. hahah.

Does anyone has their MAF sensor killed by this mod?

This won't kill your MAF. The only reason for your MAF to die as a result would be if you have a K&N or another oiled filter and over-oiled it.

That would be the least of your worries with an over-oiled filter.

Not really. Too much oil wouldn't really harm anything else. We're not talking about a dripping-wet filter here; just one with too much oil.

eh i tried it for a while but that was during the summer and since im in NY its stop and go traffic so i took it out. but now that its gettin colder i might be doing this mod again but no ECT programing. also thinking about expanding the opening on the snorkel to try and jam more air into the small opening to try and increase the speed of the air.

Anyone had dyno runs done with this mod to see if it *really* makes more power, or just sounds like it does?

I have the Lexkost type mod (headlight seal removed etc.) and the muffler delete
and plan on getting dynoed for the heck of it very soon.. my friend just got an EVO IX SE and I am going to hit up a speed shop either
CBRD
http://www.cbrdspeedfactory.com/ in York PA or

Speedworkz in Larksville PA
http://www.speedworkz.com/

I'll keep updated.. I might end up going by myself since my friend lives in Harrisburg 2 hours away and its hard to set anything up with his busy work schedule.

This is a good mod. But I experienced some issues after driving threw a massive rainstorm. my car wouldn't start.

I did have the gasket behind the headlight removed. The engine must have ingested a large amount of water.
