hi, I have a 92 ls 400 with 170 k, the trnas shifts good , but sometimes it stays on 3rd gear for instance when i'm at a light, I take off & the car hardly moves so I drop the shifter back to 1st and it moves normally then i shift manually. After that, the o/d light starts flashing nad the car never goes to o/d, sometimes I drive it a little hard and everything goes back to normal.

Anybody know what that could be?

flushed it since you had it and dont know if the previous owner did, then i recommend you flush and fill
