Default Dash does not light up when car cold

See the first sticky listed. You have a couple of bad capacitors in the power board behind the dash. Capacitors cost 25 cents. Dealer will insist on replacing the whole board for over $1000. Good luck.

Default Cluster problems

Well anything is cheaper than going to the dealer. All of these cluster problems seem to be caused by the failure of capacitors (of which there are many) in the very complex circuitry of
these clusters. Some of the folks who repair them have found how to diagnose and replace
the failing capacitors and viola! the problems are solved. The capacitors are very cheap, but Lexus doesn't make any money fixing them. They make money selling the two boards (and
probably some other parts) that make up the cluster. I don't know how the fixit guys have been able to diagnose just which capacitors do what, but they can save us bunches of money and
do what Lexus should be doing but won't. At least check them out.

Default Additional fixes

I think you will have to go to his website and check it out. I think you can email him or use a
toll free number as well. Just go to www.mrwizard.com.

Default difference in mileage

The mileage is stored in the smaller of the two boards on your instrument cluster. You may
be able to exchange the small board if that is not where your problem is. It's not hard to do
if one has some manual dexterity.
