Clicking Noise On LS400 Driver's Seat
Relatively new 1993 LS400 (165K) owner here.
I have an incredibly annoying problem I'd like to fix ASAP. . .and economically:
At starts/stops. . .when leaning back in the driver's seat. . .you hear this clicking noise. . .and the feeling that the seat isn't 100% bolted down.
Checking with a local service guy (and an upholstery specialist) apparently the only way to fix this is to replace the seat frame. . .parts/tax run about $1,200-1,300. . .and about 5-6 or more labor hours to complete the work. . .so $2,000+ just to eliminate a clicking noise!
Please advise as to how to fix. . .is there a cheaper way to get this done. . .or to at least make the clicking noise less noticeable?
(BTW. . .I've already thought about just making my music louder or simply ignoring the clicking noises. . .so please don't recommend these options when replying back!)
Thank you in advance!
