Hi All. Need your opinions on buying a used LS400

It is a 1990 w/ 220000 miles. A lot.
One of the airstruts is shot. Will not even rise with the car on.
It also has a electrical short somehwere. Might be an easy fix might be hard.

Exterior is in great shape, paint is glossy.
interior is good, few cracks in the leather, not bad.

I know it sounds terrible, but I can pick it up for under a grand. About $900.
It is at a Jeep dealer and they just want it gone.

I know I can replace the struts with standard suspension for bout $600 or so.
The short, should be able to track that down myself.

I am tempted to pick it up just as it is so cheap. Just want some experienced opinions.

check the service history and make sure the rest of the suspension has been replaced along with the second timing belt job

wow....i would pick it up in a heartbeat....900 is a bargain for any condition LS400

I also think I am going to replace the blown airstrut with another one from that company that sells them with a lifetime warrenty for $400. I really dig the idea of air suspension.
