Default 92 LS 400 Tires, Wear, Pressure

Situation: Had Falken ZE512 installed on my 92 LS400 in February '05. I don't put a lot of miles on the car...just to work and back. In October I noticed some wear on the inner and outer edges of all tires (down to the wear bar). Had the tire shop that installed them take a look. They said yeah they looked a little worn but since they didn't service the car they couldn't say what the cause was. Now, I hadn't even hit the 5k rotation point yet. I had them rotate and balance the tires and they said that everything looked good on the car's suspension etc., so again I said what is the cause. They said maybe under-inflation. They were filling to 30-32psi as per sticker on glove compartment.
My question is this: Lexus says 30-32psi, Falken website says 51psi (that's right...51psi).

Have I been running the tires at 40% less than tire manufacturer recommends and therefore causing pre-mature wear?
The Falken website says Warranty for 60,000 miles with documented rotation and "Inflation to car manufacturer's recomendation".

What is the answer. Is there a tire for this car that gives decent all-season performance tire that lasts longer than 10k miles?
Is anyone running non-High Performance tires?

Falkens suck. full stop. period. I had the same problem. I have put 10k miles on mine, and they are worn to the skeleton. The problem is NOT isolated to the 512, but runs across the board. The 512 is more susceptible. I'll never get them again.

Thanks for the info about Falkens.
Has anyone had the Goodyear Assurance Tripletred installed on First Gen LS 400?
What brands/models are people running and what mileage is everyone getting?
Is anyone approaching their 50k, 60k, 70k or 80k Tire Mileage??? If so, what brand?

PS. I bought this 92 LS400 with 150k miles. Now has 250K Miles. Still better than most new cars. Quieter, Faster, Good Gas Mileage, good handling, comfortable, insanely durable & reliable. I'm going to drive it to 300k Miles and I want 1 set of tires to take me there.

Michelin MXV4 radials will do it. I got 50k out of them before. Beware, you'll sacrifice some handling for the economy, quietness and longevity for these tyres.
