Wow the 20 offset is quite a bit more outward than my 35 (obviously). I wonder if the camber will be enough when you lower the car or if you will have to adjust more camber to make the tire tuck? It appears to be out pretty far? My 35 offset tucks without adjusting camber - have about 1/8" between sidewall and fender. I see though you are stretching a smaller tire though. Looks good bro.

ehh i dont think the front on that is +20, or if it is its wierd coz my 20x9 +30 look more aggressive in the front than that.

mines only 19x8 instead of 9, and it's def. a gay high disk wheel. Back of the wheel says +20. Trust me, i'm not the normal newb that is on here all the time. I got a smash deal on em and couldn't ride any longer without wheels so i got em. Maybe next year i'll get some Better wheels but i want it lower first.
Thanks for the props steve. It bugs me soo much that it still sits that high, it's the highest sitting car I've ever owned. If i have to use some camber I won't mind. Just as long as it's low. I may put some spacers on the front too, once i get it lower, don't know yet.

ha, i was looking at those wheels too on ebay. like $400 for the set of soemthing crazy right? i just couldn't decide if they'd look good on an LS, so i passed. they dont' look bad at all; once it's loooowww, i think they'll be better. i have a pair of 25mm spacers for sale if youwant them. $35.

25mm spacers on +20 wheels?

damn, thats -5, which is possible on narrow rims in the rear with a roll+mild pull+stretched tires, but will require a load of work for the front.

Default Tanabe springs and spacers

So I installed the tanabe springs a few weeks ago and my total drop was about 2". I like the ride from the springs but it's too low. I'm going to fab up spacers that will rais the height 0.5" so I get like 1.5" front and 1" rear drop.
I know most like thir car low, but anyone else interested in some spacers?

no, its the ghetto way to do it since it messes up the spring rate. you're better off swapping the springs for some H&R, which give a drop like what you're looking for.

do it once and do it right, and if you dont get what you want, fix it the RIGHT WAY.

Yeah you should just get some different springs that don't drop it as much.

Amen to that, I am sure that there are peeps on here that would be willing to buy your used springs. You may take a small loss since they have been installed but spacers are "no bueno"

Default Tanabe springs on standard coilovers?

Hi,

Can anyone tell me if a 1993 LS fitted with Tanabe springs on standard coilovers will damage the coilovers faster than with standard springs?

And will there be any problems with 4 guys in the car when riding on Tanabe springs on the standard coilovers with 19", such as speedbumps ect..

Thanks

Daniel

well i guess that it is safe to assume that u might be getting the df210's. If the struts are brand new i don't think that u will have a problem with blowing your struts abnormally quick. If the struts have some age on them though they might go just in a couple of months. With the rubbing issue on 19's there is just a little more info that we would need to know that you might rub, like your offsets and width. i have 20's and had 7 people in my car just this past weekend and i didn't rub.
