Default Brake stand... bad?

So I just learned how to brake stand, where you hold the brake down and rev till the tires start to squeel then let off the brake and let the tires burn out.... so how bad for the car is this? I know its not great for the tires but how about for the rest of the caR?

Well for one thing it will heat up your transmission quickly. If you install a transmission cooler that will take care of that problem.

Not good. Especially bad for the transmission which builds up a lot of heat when you do it.

probably isnt too nice to the rear brakes since ur essentially overpowering them. best way to do this is with a line lock and a tranny cooler.

Do I need a special cooler for the LS or is there a universal cooler I can buy? How much should I expect to spend on cooler and install?

Tranny won't like it but from my expierence in general with cars is the rear end is the weak point that seems to always break. I don't know anything about the the rear end, I don't even know if they use cv joints or half shafts or how strong the center section is, I say just don't make a habbit of it.

^^ For sure, right now my To Do list is:

1. Fix, install, and paint body kit
2. Suspension
3. Wheels
4. Install subs (or maybe just one sub? I don't really listen to music that subs compliment)
5. TQ converter and Tranny cooler

The cooler will not make it ok or help prevent much heat as the car is at a stand still with no air passing over it. So an external cooler will do nothing in reducing the temps built up by the TC under stall rate.
