The pic you posted is an Auto Couture kit for '98-'00 models. Unfortunately, they don't offer any kits for our LS's. I would have to agree with Dave that Carson doesn't overcharge...check out Lextasy's website and then tell us that Carson overcharges. The reason why the bumper lights and red/clear tail lights are so expensive is because of the JP brand name...you're getting what you pay for and it's top quality at that. I do know which bumper lights you're talking about because I have the same ones on my car, but if you were to put them side by side with the JP ones, it's guaranteed that you'll see why they cost so much.

Uhmm... are you for real? Heres a little heads up- your car is a VIPcar in Japan, the aero kits for that car are expensive, VIPcar parts are expensive... You got to pay to play... and its not cheap to play with VIPcars. The fog lights are NOT $50, unless its a set of knock off US brand fogs... infact $250 is not a bad price. l-tunedparts has great prices and is one of the only place in the states that is willing to source these parts for you.
Its always easy to tell when someone takes the "cheap" route with a car. Heres my opinion, there are two things your should really take car of before you go for a body kit:
1) Get a set of Wide, very low offset wheels that really fill out the wheel well with alot of lip (we can help you with offsets if you need...) and get it so they fit (roll or pull fenders)
2) Slam it... get a set of coilovers and slam it on down.
I swear that a car with stock body, and these two mods looks 1,000,000 times better than a car on weak wheels, with weak suspension, and a body kit.

The LS is an upscale car and parts for it aren't readily knocked out and available at mass auto parts shops. While some economical parts may exists here and there, most will command a healthy price and they will be unique and of quality. Low end parts lessen what would be a fine automobile.

Ok, here is an example of what Im trying to push...
Aero Kit with weak suspension and week wheel fittment
Stock Body with suspension and proper wheel fittment
(btw- thank you ahead of time to atsou for letting me use your car )
So... get the right stuff done, then move on to the kit. Get your suspension and wheels handled. I promise people will not know what was done to the car, but they will know that it looks great. I have stock body, aggressive wheels and suspension, and I get asked all the time what was done, and they really dont believe it when all I say is wheels and suspension.

keep an eye on the wheels classifieds here, or check out www.takumiproject.com
Takumi project imports used Japanese wheels from Japan, and is the best source for wheels on the net for a decent price... and they have a good reputation.
Two wheels on Takumi right now that stick out are:
Manaray Stutt (classic VIP look wheel)
19X9 +25mm and 19X10 +30mm
price:$1750
Work Rezax
18X9 +38mm and 18X10.5 +45mm
price: $1680
*note, the lip appears to need refinishing...
your not going to really find anything for under $2000, except for these, or something in the classifieds, but you need to make sure that your offsets and width are aggressive- that makes or breaks the look of wheels.
