warning to those who adjust their TPS
So after stripping the phillips head on the tps adjustment screw i take it to my buddys house, we use a very sharp philips head. We actually break free the screws and adjust it. Problem is now that after we get a perfect 700rpm idle if you pump the gas pedle the tps turns to max 1300-1500 rpm idle.
im thinking the screws arent tighting enough. well at least i hope. be wary if old screws.
im going to goto home depot and try to find the same size screw with maybe an 8mm metric head so the stripping issue will probably never happen again.
when the idle is adjusted though it ran so much smoother releasing cruise control on the freeway doesnt jerk the car and from a stop its much smoother to accellerate to 1200-1500 rpm.
grrrr

well after setting the tps and now the screws not tightening down enough if i gun it it sets the tps to max, but if i set the cruise control and use the cancle feature it move the throttle back some and lowers the idle.... just my observation
