Default brake pad wear indicator light ????

the brake pad wear indicator light is on .... but i dont want to take it to the dealer just to get it checked . i plan on just changing the rotors , pads and bleeding the lines on all four wheels . would that be enough ? i dont want to get too technical .

Sounds like a good start. If it has not been done in a while you should completely flush the brake system and refill with fresh fluid. Brake fluid gets contaminated with H2o from the air the system takes in while applying brakes.

Have the rotors been previously replaced? It might be enough to just have them refinished instead of buying a whole new set. Take it to an independent mechanic rather than your local dealer...it'll save you an arm and a leg.

Beware, this likely will not re-set your warning light. It is Lexus way of telling you that you waited to long to change pads. Some folks have apparently had luck re-soldering the wear indicator.
