Default Brake Pad Installation-Reasonable Cost?

How much should I expect to pay...what is a fair price...to change all 4 brake pads with new Lexus OEM pads?

The front OEM pads cost me about $55 after my discount, and I did the job myself.

It took less than an hour.

Hi,

Genuine Lexus pads are about $45 (www.irontoad.com) per axle. Time for me (amatuer DIY) to change the pads would be about 1-1.5 hours. This doesn't include removing the rotors to have them cut/machined.

I don't know for sure, but I would guess that you'd have to pay at least $200 to have it done at independent garage. Probably you'd not walk out of Lexus service for less than $350, but these are just my guesses.

It all depends what you think is 'fair' based on parts cost and approx. labor hours.
