Default 150,000 Maintenance

Hey Guys:

Just found this forum and love it. My beloved '96 LS400 will be reading the 150 within the year and I was wondering what preventative maintenance can be done. Early this year, my car was parked and a drunk driver nearly tore off the entire drivers' side. Believe it or not, there was NO damage done to the motor. It was like the car was a tank. It came back from the body shop with a new paint job and looks like a brand new car. I want to keep this car to 300,000 if possible. I've been doing the regular Lexus maintenances but I've found a really great auto shop. Any suggestions.

The most crucial is a tranny drain and refill. Its cheap, its easy, and your tranny will thank you for it. Just loosen the plug on the bottom, drain the fluid out, then add 2q's of Toyota IV fluid. (strongly suggest you use the Toyota stuff, its cheaper at Toyota dealerships).

Then comes other stuff like spark plugs (do the 96's still have wires?).

Then comes fluids like break, power steering, and differential. Drive belt, fuel filter, etc.
