Default Two different ball joints made for the LS400?! (Need Advice)

I was getting ready to purchase a set of ball joints for my '92 LS from www.olyonline.com, but after doing a little more searching I found that all other online parts stores offer two different ball joints for the LS.

They have a listing for 5/1989 to 8/1992 and 9/1992 to 9/1994.

www.olyonline.com only has one listing at ~$44 per side.
All other sites have the two listings at about ~$95 per side.

www.olyonline.com there ball joint is made in the USA and is not the OME, but he said he's sold over 75 sets with no problems.

Is there a real difference that accounts for the two build dates?
Is there a difference between the $44 ball joint and the OEM $95 piece?

A Ball Joint is not exactly a high tech piece. I went with the cheaper model on my 94 & have no complaints so far.
