Default Question For New LS 400 owner

So here’s the story. My brother GAVE me his 90 Lexus LS 400 and I love it.

First post question.

The is some sort of electrical problem causing the battery to drain if you do not pull the 10A dome fuse located under the hood. I personally have never had the car not start. I am taking his word from what the non-Lexus mechanic told him. So when ever the car sits at my house, or at work, I am pulling this fuse to ensure the car is able to start. I’m wondering what this has to do with and how I can get it fixed. I have a fairly good understanding of cars, but when it comes to electrical problems I’m a little lost. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the boards! I have no skills when it comes to trouble shooting auto problems, but I'm sure someone will be able to help you.

Did your brother say what the mechanic said what the problem is in the first place or the possible permanent fix & price? Perhaps get a second opinion from either a Lexus dealer or another good independent mechanic.

Maybe send JPI (do a search with JPI) a PM as he is a Lexus tech.....he might be able to steer you in the right direction.

You might want to subscribe to the other Lexus club as well LOC (www.lexusownersclub.com) & post your problem there.

Welcome to the club! Post pics of your LS when you can.
