Default LS 400 Heated Seats

I recently purchased a 1991 LS 400 and really enjoy this car. The car is in great shape and was wondering if anyone has had trouble with the heated seats. Everything works on the car except that. Also, every now and again the (trac) light and ABS light come on upon start up. If you cycle the key, they shutoff. Any input on this would be appreciated.

Thanks!

My abs light used to come on here and there. After I changed the brake fluid the abs stoped coming on. check out www.lexls.com on how to do that

im sorry Greddy but im going to have to reason with you. i have a 1990 ls400 and my car does the same thing aka trac/trac off/abs light on (only in the colder months) dont know why? but yes my heated seats also dont work.....you might as well not even think you have them they are 2000$ for the pair if you want them replaced...so i dont even bother. it runs like a brand new car...remember even though you have a 1991 lexus it is still better made then 70% of NEW cars out there today so dont worry...
congrats on the great purchase you will not be dissapointed
enjoy

Traction control and Heated seats come together as one option ( can't have one with out the other )..................so I believe that they are together some how in the electrical circuit and that is where your problem is.

The heated seats have a relay under each seat. Pull it out to reset it, maybe the relays tripped. It's worth a try at least. Also check all fuses. I also think it's some sort of electrical problem....

for about $500.00 each, you can have a cometant upholsterer replace the heater pad which likely shorted outand then reassemble the seat. in my '95 the driver's side does not work, but the passenger side does.

Lexus sell the unit as one now. cushion and heater I think.
