**Why is traffic slowing down in this forum?**
Over the weeks, I have noticed traffic decline seriously, more and more everyday, becoming the least active forum in Clublexus.
To be honest, I think the biggest problem is we get newbie’s who ask their billion questions, and never return to help out others, or they only post when they have a problem. Therefore, threads die out, and productivity is lost.
In any case, we need more activity around here, I’m tired of visiting the GS forum out of boredom
Any suggestions?

Part of it is because the LS430 guys now post in their own sub forum, so it just seems less active

less traffic
I have been busy of late, also i noticed when you give some people answers to there questions. People tend to want a response they like and if they don't get it they don't respond nicely. Thats also why i stopped posting or giving responses. And your right this forums has slowed and the LS430 forum is not much more live than this.

The quality of posts has gone down and more takers than givers. Some post only when they have problems and expect answers the next time they log on and those that don't get anwers within a day post there replies with "attitudes". Those who get their problems fix never bother to come back and post their findings so other can learn. Basically, things just get boring after awhile.

I, for one, have little experience with Lexus cars. I do almost all of my own work on my Volvo, but have not tackled the LW's '95 LS 400.
My guess is that a lot of people are in the same boat as I am.....we don't feel as though we have much to contribute.
I think as there are more older cars out there, "traffic" on this board will increase.
All of that said, I'm bettin' there are a lot of Lexus owners out there that don't know Club Lexus even exists. You also have to factor in that a large percentage of Lexus owners are probably not sure how to open the hood, much less how to actually turn a wrench on it. They don't have to.
As the Little Woman's LS400 ages, I will be doing more and more maintenance on it (doing a starter this weekend). Maybe then I'll be better equipped to contribute to the forum.
Still learning,

That’s how I feel, and that’s why I want to try and change things. I have a few questions, but with this type of traffic I know I’m not going to get much answers, and its sad to see only a hand full of guys take on all the answers. We know who they are, and appreciate their time, but it would be great to get more people on the boat, that’s how we get more questions asked and answered by more people.

I agree, I’m not expecting "supra" like traffic
Being the flagship model, not much out there is available as far as after market parts go, and I understand that, but lately, I been noticing a lot of taking and not much giving by some of our new members. Problem is, what they don’t realize is that if they stop contributing, we wont have a worthy LS forum to seek help.
To put action where my mouth is, I’m offer my time if its needed, so if dave or any of the mods need my help, im here to help.

One other is that not all the LS owners are inclined to get under the car or into it. The LS is now attracting a young crowd who is willing to get into it. In years past, messing with these hasn't been very common.
On the Toymods forums, the level of those cars is amazing. It takes time and money to learn these things...don't know many who are willing to drop that kind of $$ for that education. If the boys down under get their hands on the Celsiors in numbers, we'll eventually get the info.
For myself, the desire to mess with it is diminishing. I don't mind certain projects but for the most part, I'd prefer to pay to have stuff done. When I was in my 20's, I was up for the challenge and it saved me some $$. Having been injured saving a few $$ isn't a motivator anymore.
YMMV

Ive been on this forum for a few months and Ive spent more time on the ES forum since my LS is much better condition.
Guess that LS models are not driven as hard as ES and have fewer mechanical problems.
Also, I figure that LS and ES owners are pretty different demographics.
Having said that, can anyone help me figure out my rear defogger problem on my LS.
I get good power at the connectors and continuity at the grid, but it wouldnt melt ice on a hot summer day.
