Default Trunk release on remote is inoperative

I bought a used LS400 (1998) and notice the trunk release on remote is inoperative, I have to open manual by switch. How to enable this switch?

Thx

The button has to be held down for about 3 seconds, give that a shot.

I think it was 1.5 secs, but in anycase, you can have the dealer take that delay off if you'd like.

Hah!

My 'inoperable' trunk release was the only thing wrong with my 'new' LS 400.

Just went out to the garage and held the button for a couple of secs... works perfectly!

Thanks for the timely post, AND informed replies.
