I just noticed an AC/Clock repair kit for the LS400 LCD unit on Ebay. It's brandnew and comes with full instructions on removal, repair, etc. Price beats the $350 that I spent having mine replaced with a rebuilt unit. Hope this helps. Search with LS400 and it's on the first two pages. Good luck.

Are you sure you only need the bulbs changed? If so the bulbs are really easy (pricey about $8for two from the dealer, but very easy) Its just a matter of takeing the unit apart. If the LCD is burnt out all the light bulb changes wont do a thing. That kit(on ebay) is for electronic pros!!!! You really need to know what youre doing to do it right, however the seller of the kit does offer to do the repair for you.
